We own Chalet Abode and this was our very first project in the Alps. Our design brief was to retain the original features and character of the 19th century Savoyard farmhouse whilst creating a timeless, elegant and, above all, ‘live-able’ design fit for the rental market. Heavy stonewalls, old wood, original shutters and front door blend with classic fixtures and fittings, wall to wall glazing in the roof top living room and a variety of textured materials to achieve a harmonious balance between the old and new.
