Appointed for architectural design, project management and interior design
Built of stone, glass and wood, the design brief for this new build chalet was to create a chalet that encapsulated the alpine spirit and mixed it with a more modern, contemporary feel. Natural light is strong throughout the chalet due to large windows in all the rooms and this luminosity is reinforced by the white walls and contemporary style.
In the open-plan living and dining room, the elegant wood burning stove takes centre stage. It is instantly welcoming, bringing the living space alive. Layers of fabric in mountain tones and dark timber hues contrast with the paler roof and floor finishes, creating a stylish and warm living space. We brought the design concept to life with artworks and design pieces which capture the alpine feeling/experience and seamlessly blended them with the contemporary interiors.
The ground and first floor accommodate the bedrooms complemented by the natural tones of old wood headboards, patchwork hide wall paper and wenge furniture. The design is tailored to suit a rental market.
